WANNA' VISIT A PARK OR MONUMENT LESS TRAVELED?

Most National Parks and Monuments are CROWDED. But here are the LEAST visited in the Southwest.
Arizona: Fort Bowie. One problem might be you have to hike at least a mile just to get to the ruins of the fort.

New Mexico: Fort Union, Pecos NHP and Salinas Pueblo Missions. Most interesting are the Pueblo Mission Ruins on the high desert SE of Albuquerque.

Colorado & Utah: Hovenweep. The Colorado side gets about 10,000 visitors annually, the Utah side about 14,000.

Nevada: Great Basin (including
Lehman Cave). It gets quite a few visitors, but not even in the same league with Lake Mead, the only other NPS park in the state.
